It’s that time of the year again.  I am very excited to announce the sixth annual 2019 Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office Citizens Academy!


Have you ever asked yourself, “Why do they do that?” or “How does that work?”  Coming this September is a wonderful and unique opportunity to provide the community with an inside look at the intimate details and inner workings of your Sheriff’s Office.  The 2018 TCSO Citizen’s Academy will in fact be that opportunity for you to receive answers to your questions.  Furthermore, this academy will be provided at no cost to the participants.


The academy will meet every Tuesday for seven consecutive Tuesdays beginning September 3rd, from 7pm to 9pm at the Public Safety Facility.  Each presenter displays a unique area of expertise.  We would also respectfully request that applicants please commit to attending at least 5 of the 7 weeks.  Please direct any questions to Captain Jeremy Queen (Phone# 884-3168 or email  The applications will be returned to Captain Queen as well.  We can email or mail you an application, or they can be picked up at the Sheriff's office located at 153 Public Safety Way in Brevard.We can email or mail the application to you, or you can pick one up at the Sheriff’s Office located at 153 Public Safety Way in Brevard.
